The Association was awarded Club Mark accreditation on the 21st Oct 2010, the first angling club in Norfolk to achieve this award. This follows several months of hard work by the Chairman and committee to ensure all the structure, processes and procedures were in place prior to assessment.
Many people have said that this can strangle clubs with bureaucratic processes and documentation. But the reality is that in 21st century Britain, to work with schools and community groups with children, you must be able to demonstrate accountability and clear process. This we believe will enable closer partnerships with schools and community groups in making Angling available to the wider community, whilst also opening up development and funding opportunities.
